• In 1977 Bottled water becomes popular again in the US, led by Perrier’s marketing of imported water. Perrier leads the way for the commercial bottled water industry in the US to thrive. It begins with carbonated (sparkling) water, but flat bottled water eventually takes over a larger share of the market.
